Global Strategy and Business

This is the default desktop setup and below is my personal desktop take on this using Mashup icons,mac panels from www. gnome -look.org. The larger size icons are because I am partially sighted. The lastest news from California is that Oracle has made a takeover bid for Sun Micro systems .Most pundits consider consolidation in the high tech sector was inevitable in a global down turn.However what is not clear who the right partner is for Sun. The disclosure that IBM was interested as a hostile bidder caused some dismay both at board level at Sun but also the large stakeholder groups Sun commands.Until the dust settles and a new strategy is formulated it is unclear as to where both these companies assets are to combine. Winners and loosers there will be but it is unlikely that a new strategy will be officially announced until September 2009.
