Oracle discontinued OpenSolaris in favour of developing the next generation of Solaris officially confirming it will launching Solaris 11 Express towards the end of 2010. the new binary distribution with a propitiatory flavour will spring board an enhanced Oracle application portfolio aimed at data enterprise to compete with the products from competitors such as IBM.
